Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of FreediveLog (the “Service”), a personal freediving logbook operated by us.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

FreediveLog lets you create an account and log freediving sessions, including performance details, conditions, and notes, and view related statistics and personal bests.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will try to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, appear compromised, or create risk for the Service or other users.

You retain ownership of the dive logs and other content you enter into the Service (“Your Content”).

You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate the Service for you.

You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to submit it. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to break security, scrape or overload systems, access other users’ data, reverse engineer the Service except where allowed by law, or use the Service for anything illegal.

The Service is for personal dive logging. Automated bulk access or abuse of authentication endpoints is not allowed.

Freediving involves serious risks, including injury and death. The Service is a logging and tracking tool only. It does not provide coaching, medical advice, safety instruction, or emergency services.

Always dive within your training and certification, follow safe practices, and never dive alone. You use the Service and any insights from your logs at your own risk.

How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.

The Service, including its design, branding, and software (excluding Your Content), is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Service except as needed for normal use.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that dive statistics, personal bests, or other calculations will be complete, accurate, or suitable for any training decision.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY) OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise.
